Connect with Your Child’s Teacher at Family Open Night!
Hi Families,
I’m very excited to be writing my first wellbeing newsletter item for 2025, it has been a smooth start to the school year and I can’t wait to see what the year brings!
Last Wednesday was our annual Family Open Night! This was a great opportunity to connect with your child’s classroom teacher, get a glimpse of what’s happening in the classroom, and see firsthand the amazing work your child is doing.
Building a strong relationship with your child’s teacher can have a huge impact on their academic and social development. When parents and teachers work together as a team, it creates a supportive environment where students thrive. Open communication helps teachers understand each child's needs, interests, and learning style, while giving parents insight into the school experience.
While Family Open Night is a great start, we encourage all parents and guardians to continue nurturing this connection throughout Term 1 and beyond. Regular check-ins—whether through emails, brief chats at pick-up, or scheduled meetings—can help ensure your child’s success. Teachers are your partner in helping your child feel confident and supported, and building this partnership early on creates a lasting positive impact.
Thank you to everyone who came along last Wednesday, asked questions, shared insights about your child, and took this opportunity to begin or strengthen your partnership with your child’s teacher!
