Teams Tennis
Last week our school convened the Campaspe Teams Tennis tournament for 38 teams, the biggest one yet with approximately 340 players!
This tournament allows for players of high ability down to beginners to enjoy tennis.
Thanks to our amazing students who represent our school with pride and are always positive. Also to the supportive parents as well as our staff that made the day possible.
We were all so busy we didn’t get many photos but here are a few!
Boys Champs team won, Girls champs 2nd in a tight competition and our 3 reserves teams had lots of smiles some wins, losses and draws.
The boys Champs team will head to Regional in term 4 and we are hoping our girls Champs team will also have the same opportunity!
Cross Country
Last Friday we joined other local schools to participate in a Cross Country! Every student impressed us with their willingness to have a go! Congratulations to our year level winners. Mr Ras will be in contact with the students able to participate in Echuca early next term (grade 3-6 only)

This term in PE
P-2 We learnt about how our body reacts to physical activity as well as learning some Fundemental Movement Skills like throwing, catching and running. In our last lesson we created a target with a small group which allowed us to work together. We then got to practice our overarm throws whilst trying to knock the target over.
3-6 We learnt about being active and the benifits to our Physical, Social, Emotional and Mental health. This linked in well with Healthy Habits discussed in the Resilience Project. We were able to create and participate in a range of fitness circuits. Our second unit this term was Net/Wall and our focus was on Teams Tennis. Students developed their basic skills as well as learning and implementing a few game concepts and strategies like hitting into space. We think our PE lessons combined with the lessons from Milo this term supported us to have 40 of our students participate in the Campaspe Teams tennis event. If your child is now interested in playing tennis please get in contact with Milo!
