The students have been working on an author study about Roger Hargreaves, the creator of the Mr Men, Little Miss book series. Students have explored the features and structure of the texts as well as the analysed characters and provided details about what they look like and what words describe their characters' personality.

During numeracy sessions, we have reviewed place value and focussed on counting forwards and backwards from a given number up to 4 digits. We have also explored representing these numbers using MAB blocks.
On Tuesday 25th of March, the students enjoyed attending the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. The exhibition showcased Kusama's famous dot artwork and infinity mirror rooms. The students viewed the exhibition as well as created their own artwork in a workshop using paint pens.

The students celebrated Harmony Day on Friday 21st of March by participating in activities such as building famous towers like the Eiffel Tower and the Leaning Tower of Pisa using a range of materials (lego, jenga blocks and playdoh). They also created harmony bracelets and drew mandala patterns. After lunch, the assembly showcased cultural music for the students to enjoy.
Thank you to all families that attended our showcase on Monday afternoon. It was great to see the students so proudly deliver their animal presentations that they had been working so hard on with their families.
