Principal's Message
Mrs Ameera Hassanein
Last week, we celebrated Harmony Day, which gave us the perfect opportunity to reflect on the importance of inclusivity, respect, and cultural diversity within our school community. Harmony Day serves as a wonderful reminder that everyone belongs and that our differences make us stronger together.
This year, our students participated in a variety of activities designed to promote understanding and appreciation of different cultures, traditions, and perspectives.
Our End of Term Showcase days were fantastic, and we truly appreciated the involvement and presence of our parents. Thank you for making this possible! We look forward to welcoming all parents back next term for our showcase sessions.
We are also excited to introduce our new Foundation teacher, Mrs. Davi, who has already warmly embraced the students as she begins her journey with us.
Finally, we wish everyone a wonderful Easter break and look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, April 23rd, for the start of Term 2!
Looking Ahead…
Books in Homes - Friday 28th March Students will be able to come to school wearing red clothes as we have read a lot of books! Students will receive book bags to further encourage great reading at home.

At BPS, we will celebrate Harmony Week in our classrooms with a number of activities and with our Harmony Day Assembly on Friday 21st March. We look forward to seeing families come together for the afternoon. More information regarding the Harmony Day will be shared via Compass.
Reminder- We hope you're doing well! We want to kindly remind everyone to park safely in front of the school. Please be sure not to block our crossing guards’ visibility, as they play a vital role in keeping our children safe during drop-off and pick-up times.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our school community safe!
Attendance- EVERY DAY COUNTS
The new school start time this year is 8:35 AM. We are committed to providing our students with a great education, and the foundation for this starts with students attending school every day.
There is no safe number of days for missing school—each day a student misses puts them behind and impacts their educational outcomes.
School starts at 8:35 AM and finishes at 3:00 PM each day.
Enrolments /School Tours
Enrolments and school tours are open. If your child is attending 4-year-old kindergarten this year and will be starting school next year, please note that enrolment at the school is required. This process does not happen automatically, so we kindly ask that you come to the office to complete the enrolment.
We also recommend you check Compass and the newsletter for important calendar dates regularly as dates will be added throughout the year.
