Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

I want to remind everyone about the importance of safe and responsible driving around our school, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times.

A concerned community member recently shared an alarming experience involving multiple vehicles performing unsafe U-turns near Sacred Heart (Dean Court), failing to give way to pedestrians—including young children. This near-miss is a stark reminder of our responsibility to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff.

Please remember:

🚦 Always give way to pedestrians at crossings.

🚗 Avoid U-turns in busy or unsafe areas.

⏳ Take the extra moment to check carefully before turning or merging.

💙 Be mindful that children, especially younger ones, rely on drivers to follow road rules.

We all share the goal of keeping our children safe. Let’s work together to ensure that our school zone remains a safe place for all.

Thank you for your support and cooperation on this matter.

2026 Enrolments

The 2026 Foundation Enrolment for Siblings survey has now closed.  Enrolment Applications will be sent home today.  If you did not get a chance to complete the survey and have a sibling who is to start school in 2026, please give the office a call and we will arrange for an enrolment application form to be sent home.

Parent Code of Conduct

I draw your attention to a new connect field for parents/carers to complete acknowledging that they have received and read the Parent/Carers Code of Conduct.  If you can please acknowledge this through your PAM account.  Unfortunately, the system doesn't allow us to set up per family, therefore you will need to make the acknowledgement for each student.

End of Term 1!

Term 1 will finish this Friday at 2:25 pm. Children will also receive a hot dog and a drink for lunch on this day.

We will be conducting our Athletic Sports for Grades Foundation to Two here at school between 11:45am and 1:15pm on Friday, so all these children must wear their Sports uniforms to school on Friday.  Parents and grandparents are all welcome to attend.

All other children are invited to wear casual clothes on Friday and donate a gold coin to our Project Compassion appeal.

I hope all families can enjoy some time together away from the routines that school life brings and enjoy good health to make the most of this upcoming break.

School will resume on Monday, April 28th.

Kind regards,

Karl Dwyer
