Glen Gratitude

Grateful for our Partnerships with Families
Term 1 is time of connection, a time to work together to set goals for the year. This goal setting also includes the work we do alongside our families, whether it be sharing a special skill in the educational program, or the work that our Volunteer Parent Groups (VPG) do to provide opportunities for social connections, fundraising events or working bees. Working Bees have commenced across many Glen Education services. Many families have worked alongside our educators to ensure that our learning environments are continuing to provide a high quality educational program for children.
Here is an example of the impact that these working bees have on our Glen Education Community and the benefits to the programs that we design for children.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in Saturday's working bee. The turnout was truly remarkable! Seeing so many parents, grandparents, relatives, and children working together to enhance our kindergarten spaces filled our hearts with joy and appreciation. Your dedication to improving our learning environment demonstrates the strong community spirit that makes our kindergarten so special. The collaborative efforts of multiple generations working side by side created a wonderful atmosphere of shared purpose and connection.
These moments have a profound impact on our children. When they see their families actively participating in kindergarten activities, it significantly strengthens their sense of belonging and connection to our community.
This aligns perfectly with our Kindergarten's core goals—building an inclusive environment where children develop strong foundations for lifelong learning through meaningful relationships and community engagement. The working bee allowed children to witness firsthand how their families value their educational space, reinforcing the partnership between home and kindergarten. These experiences help children understand they are part of something larger than themselves—a supportive community that comes together to care for shared spaces. Thank you for giving your time, energy, and skills to make our kindergarten an even better place for learning and growing together. Your support makes a tremendous difference in creating the nurturing environment we strive to provide for all children.
