Glen Education Professional Development Day

Organisation Wide PD Day
On Wednesday the 2nd of the April, the entire Glen Education cohort gathered to be inspired by one another, and focus on the growth and power of relationships. The energy in the room was electric and we could not be prouder of the educators for their engagement, positivity, and their care of each other. The leadership team did a brilliant job of executing and inspiring.
It was a great opportunity for our services to connect and network between each other as there are over 200 of us now, and when we get together it really is something special.
.
Here is the story from Mel MacMaster: Two Bad Bricks - Ajahn Brahm – the provocations
are attached as part of the PowerPoint shared with you staff today.
It is what we choose to see that will determine how happy we are and how positive (or negative) we view every situation.
The Pyramid Model Australia
Glen Education gained invaluable support from The Pyramid Model Australia. The Pyramid Model promotes high quality evidence-based early educator practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework. Educators’ use of Pyramid Model practices increases the social-emotional competencies of all children, of the group as a whole, and of children with behavioural challenges. The Pyramid Model is also designed to help educators support parents and liaise with other professionals in supporting families, as part of a positive behaviour support team.
We were fortunate to have presentations from:
- Sam Kolasa, CEO of Glen Education
- Melissa MacMaster, General Manager Operations Education and Pedagogy
- Liz Washington Diversity Leader
- Rachael Gemmill Education/Inclusion Manager
- Sara Stockman and Jacqui Snider from Pyramid Model Australia
