Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,
National Young Leaders' Day
Miss Georgia Merrick accompanied our Year 6 leaders and a fantastic group of parents to the National Young Leaders' Day Conference in Sydney on Tuesday. This incredible event is designed to empower young minds, equipping them with the skills and confidence to lead with purpose. Our students were privileged to hear from an outstanding line-up of guest speakers including:
Anthony Carroll (Bondi Rescue Lifeguard)
Thomas Duncan (Screenwriter and Author)
Emma McKeon (Australia’s most successful Olympian)
Catherine Laga'aia (Actress and lead in Moana)
Their stories of resilience, passion and leadership left a lasting impact with our students, encouraging them to embrace their potential as future leaders.
A huge thank you to Miss Merrick and the wonderful team of parents who supported our students on this memorable day!
Diocesan Winter Trials
The Armidale Diocesan Winter Trials will take place tomorrow at Sport UNE in Armidale. Big thanks to Heidi Hardaker for her organisation of this event. We have over 30 students who will be participating in their chosen sport of Soccer, Hockey, Netball or Rugby League. I wish you all the best tomorrow and look forward to hearing about how well you represent our school and also your great teamwork and participation.
NAPLAN
We are pleased to share that our students have successfully completed their NAPLAN assessments. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, perseverance and positive attitude throughout the process.
NAPLAN is an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and we commend them for their hard work. We also appreciate your ongoing support in ensuring they were prepared and encouraged during this time.
Until next week,
Keep Smiling,
Alison Hatton
