Dear Parents and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for Wednesday 9 April. During this meeting, all positions within our organisation will be declared vacant, and we warmly encourage everyone to attend and consider nominating for a position.
I must share with you that I will be stepping down as president. Daisy, my fifth child, will be finishing year 12 this year!!! It has been a profound honour to serve in this role and to be part of this wonderful school community. Meeting such a diverse and like-minded group of people has been a privilege, and I am grateful for the kindness and camaraderie shown by all.
Being a part of the Parents and Friends (P&F) group has been an incredible experience. I have formed friendships across various year groups and with staff members, and I have gained a deeper appreciation for the efforts that go into ensuring the best future for our children. We are truly fortunate to be able to send our children to this exceptional school, where they are offered countless opportunities and supported by outstanding staff.
I have often expressed my amazement at the calibre of our school community, and for the past 17 years, I have believed that there is no better place for our children's education.
To foster more connections, we will host a casual meet and greet at the Canobolas Hotel on Tuesday 8 April, for an hour at 6pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, and there is absolutely no pressure to take on a P&F position by joining us for a drink. This is simply an opportunity to say hello and get to know one another.
Our regular meetings are casual, held twice a term in the Tower House Meeting room from 6 - 7 pm. A Zoom link will be available for those unable to attend in person. The roles within the P&F are straightforward, and our meetings follow a simple structure that allows everyone's voice to be heard.
Just a reminder about the 50 Year Gala Ball on Saturday 24 April, from 7 pm to 11 pm. You should have received an email with a link to purchase tickets. It’s going to be a wonderful night filled with drinks, dancing, and fun for everyone, and we would love for you to come. Plenty of individual seats are available, or you can gather a group of eight together and reserve a table. It promises to be a fabulous evening, and we hope you can join us.
We look forward to seeing you at the AGM and our meet and greet next Tuesday. Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.
With love and friendship,
Pip Smith
