Next Friday, our school will hold our ANZAC Day ceremony to honour the service and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand men and women in times of war, conflict and peacekeeping. This important event helps our students reflect on the values of courage, mateship and resilience, and understand the significance of ANZAC Day in our national identity.
During the holidays, our school leaders and I will represent Chatswood PS at the Chatswood Dawn Service on Thursday 25 April at 5:00am at the Garden of Remembrance, just behind the Chatswood RSL. If you haven’t been to a dawn service before as a family, I strongly recommend attending, as it is a powerful and moving way to reflect on the sacrifices made and the values we continue to honour today.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended Parent–Teacher Interviews this past week. We greatly appreciate your time, openness and the collaborative discussions which took place. Your partnership plays a vital role in supporting student learning and wellbeing and these conversations help strengthen the connection between home and school.
Parents and carers are welcome to use the park area with their children immediately after school, as long as children are actively supervised. However, we kindly ask that all families leave the school grounds by 4:00pm, as the park area will be used by our Before and After School Care (OOSH) service from that time as part of their afternoon program. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe and shared space for all.
