Around the Classrooms

What a great first term we have had in Prep! Students are demonstrating our school wide routines and expectations beautifully and have worked well towards Positive Behaviour for Learning goals both inside and outside the classroom. 

In literacy, we have been working on syllables and rhyming words as well as letter sounds.  We love learning new vocabulary words each week, these words are new words from the book we are reading which become embedded into our everyday language as well as into our learning across the week. Look at the amount of new words already on our vocabulary tree!

In Maths we are looking at location, placing various items on, under, behind, in front of, inside, between and next to other items.  We have had fun using our duck to show location and used language to describe where we have placed our duck. 

We were blessed to lead the Holy Week liturgies, we reflected on Palm Sunday and how Jesus entered triumphantly on a donkey into Jerusalem.
