Easter a Time of Hope

Dear Parents and Carers,

Easter is the cornerstone of Catholic belief, a time to commemorate the central event of Christianity – the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Easter story is one of sacrifice, unwavering love, and hope. It is a reminder of the love that God has for each of us, demonstrated through the selfless act of His Son, Jesus Christ, who willingly laid down His life to redeem humanity from sin and death. The resurrection of Jesus symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, life over death, and hope over despair.

As members of a Catholic school community, we are called to embody the teachings of Christ in our words, actions, and interactions with others. During this Easter season, let us reflect on the message of forgiveness, reconciliation, and renewal that lies at the heart of our faith. Let us strive to emulate the compassion and humility of Jesus, reaching out to those in need and extending a hand of friendship and support to all.

Easter is also a time of spiritual renewal and rejuvenation. It invites us to deepen our relationship with God through prayer, reflection, and participation in the sacraments of the Church. As we journey through the Lenten season and now into Easter, may we take this opportunity to recommit ourselves to living lives of holiness, virtue, and service to others.

Our school community has been celebrating Palm Sunday and Holy Week in our hall. Each level has had the opportunity to lead a prayer service in preparation for Easter. Tomorrow morning at 8:50 AM, our Year 5/6 students will lead the next prayer service. All families are warmly invited to join us in the hall at 8:50 AM for our last Easter Liturgy tomorrow.

On behalf of the entire school community, I extend my warmest wishes for a blessed and hope filled Easter. May the blessings of this holy season be with you and your families today and always. May you be blessed with quality time with your loved ones and a restful and restorative break.

Regards

Brian Martin
