What’s been happening at DASH!

Last week children participated in some owl theme activities at DA. Children had the opportunity to do some Stem by constructing a pair of owl binoculars allowing them to experience for themselves how an Owl views the world in a binocular vision. Children also used pinecones and other craft accessories to make a cute pinecone owl. Some children extended this activity and made a nest for their owl to rest in and other children took their owl outdoors to engage in imaginary play. In the kitchen we also cooked spotted owl cookies and morning owl pancakes. During the week children were able to read owl facts and complete a range of owl colour ins.
