Year 5/6 Report

Welcome back to Term 2. This term Year 5/6 will be looking at the survival world, linking science and literacy.

Literacy and Inquiry

This Month, the Year 5/6 students have delved into the fascinating world of animal adaptations, drawing inspiration from Tania McCartney's captivating book, "Literacy Fauna." Through this exploration, students have embarked on a journey of discovery, connecting science with literacy in an engaging and meaningful way.

Over the past week, 5/6 students have been hard at work, creating their own ‘Fauna’ page to showcase their understanding of animal adaptations. Looking ahead, students will continue their exploration of the natural world, diving deeper into topics such as natural disasters and climatic events.

Rosehill High School

On Wednesday April 17th, year 5/6 Students visited Rosehill High School for an Open Day. Students participated in high school lessons such as, P.E, robotics, science, and watched performances from high school drama and music students. It was lovely to see Aberfeldie students emerging themselves in high school life and displaying Aberfeldie school values.
