STEM
If you have a Foundation - 2 child then you've probably heard all about Blob. The students have been keen to see him each week and help him with his Animal Adaptations. He's spent the past two weeks growing fins to swim through the water, then developing arms and legs to help him move around on land.
What's next? The skies the limit...
The 3/4's have continued to get to know their little robot friends. We played around with some of the attachments and learnt about Algorithms and Sequences (instructions in order).
If anyone has a cricut at home, and space for 3 names on your next print, we need to make labels for our three newest robot family members. Similar to how Buzz has been branded in the picture. Please let myself or the school know if you're able to help out and we can give you the names.
Level 5/6
Our lessons have been busy with, learning about Lego Technic (for some students its been a whole new experience), building simple machines with levers, AND fine tuning our use of Google Slides and Google Classroom.
The students made some great catapults last week and I was super impressed by some adjustments that students had made to the claw machine that we made this week. I look forward to their builds over the next few weeks when they really get to show what they've learnt so far.
See you in STEM,
Mrs Wallis
