What’s being happening in Grade 5

Naplan

The grade 5 teachers are incredibly proud of how the students conducted themselves during Naplan testing. It was wonderful to see students trying their best and being resilient when technical issues occurred. The school and parents should receive their results in June 2024.

Inquiry

The grade 5 students have worked incredibly hard in the last few weeks on their inquiry projects. It has been wonderful to see all the amazing learning that has happened and the way the students are sharing this with others. The photos of the foods that have been created at home has been amazing and looks yummy. The students are presenting their projects to their individual classes today and the presentations have been outstanding. Tomorrow the students will have an opportunity to share this project with other students from other classes.

Maths

In maths, the students were given the task of creating a 3D shape scene that included 3-4 different 3D shapes. Students worked in small groups and had to plan and design their ideas before creating their models. Students used their knowledge of 3D shape nets to draw up a net to turn into their models. It was wonderful to see the creativity being shown by all students.
