Learning Power Award Recipients
Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for their demonstration of one or many of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

On Monday during our whole school assembly, the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

1/2C | Anika | For being a motivated learner who always follows directions and sets a great example for the rest of the class. Anika is kind and supportive to others and is always willing to help those in need! What a great start to the year! |
1/2S | Nash | For being a motivated and helpful student. Nash has been an effective leader in our classroom by taking on jobs of responsibility and showing others the expected ways of working. Well done on being a responsible role model in our classroom, we are lucky to have you! |
1/2A | Isaac I | For being a resilient learner who is flexible and doesn’t give up. You have been a leader in our classroom, setting an example during mat time and making good choices to set an example for the rest of the class. Well done on making such a great start in 1/ 2 A! |
3/4L | Percy | For being a collaborative learner who has been extremely welcoming and helpful in our first week of learning. Percy has been encouraging towards his peers during team building challenges and offering suggestions on how to enhance learning routines in our 3/4 space. You are a sensational leader Percy! |
3/4O | Ayaan | For being a motivated learner who sets an example for his classmates by following routines and expectations. He confidently shared about his holidays during circle time and wrote an engaging holiday recount. Well done on making a great start to the year! |
3/4S | Priam | For being a collaborative learner who has led by example at the beginning of our school year. Priam has demonstrated responsible technology use and how to care for our technology. This leadership sets a positive tone for our class. Well Done, Priam! |

5/6K | Harvey | For being a collaborative learner, who helped make our classroom a positive and inclusive space to be! You were a fantastic role model for your peers on how to include others and make each student feel listened to, valued and respected. What a fantastic start to Year 5! 5/6S | Ruan | For being a resilient learner. You have come back to school with an injury to your foot, and you have not let it affect your learner negatively at all!
