Judy Allen Award 2024 - Reminder

Nominations are now being accepted for the prestigious Judy Allen Award, presented to a member of our community who has made an outstanding contribution to the School over a period of five years or more.

The award is named in honour of the inspirational and dedicated Judy Allen (née Southouse, Class of 1974), a former student, parent, staff member and Board member, who now serves as a Kilvington Life Governor.

Judy herself will present the award at Celebration Night, where the recipient will receive a framed certificate and have their name added to the Honour Board in Dalton Hall.

Nomination criteria and forms are available below. Please submit all nominations by close of business on Thursday 31 October 2024 to phillipsc@kilvington.vic.edu.au. Thank you.

Connor's Run

Jacqui Goldenberg, Community Service Program Director

What a run! Kilvington was the number ONE fundraising school at Connor's Run, raising over $18,000 for this Year 10s charity-supported event!

Thank you to all our students, teachers, alumni, current and past parents, who all participated in the run itself, volunteered or both, with such enthusiasm!

The Robert Connor Dawes Foundation supports research into pediatric brain cancer, honours families who have lost children, and creates wonderful events fueled by the power of volunteers. What an outstanding effort by all!

Senior School Colour Run

At the end of last term, our Senior School students had an absolute blast at the inaugural Senior School Colour Run! This exciting event was organised to raise funds for our Year 11 community service partner, Flying Fox.

Flying Fox is a fantastic not-for-profit organisation dedicated to tackling the social isolation experienced by young people, both with and without disabilities. Through their programs, they help these young individuals develop independence, build confidence and engage more fully with their communities.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this fantastic event!

The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

The annual Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, took place in September, celebrating a cherished tradition in Chinese culture. It is believed that the moon is at its fullest and brightest during this time, coinciding with the harvest season in the heart of autumn! Thank you to parent Chunman He for organising a wonderful coffee morning to mark this special occasion!
