ITALIAN DAY!

Ciao e Bentornati!

Welcome back to a new school year. Italian in 2026 will be a fun-filled and engaging cultural experience for students across all year levels at St Patrick’s.

Throughout Semester 1, students will develop their Italian language skills while exploring Italian culture through interactive and meaningful learning experiences.Students in the early years will be introduced to Italian through everyday language, songs, games and familiar classroom routines. As they progress through the middle years, students will build confidence using simple vocabulary and structures to talk about themselves and the world around them. In the upper years, students will further develop their conversational skills, extend their vocabulary and use Italian in more purposeful and contextual ways.

Italian Day 2026 will be celebrated in Term 1 on Wednesday, March 4. On this special day, students are again invited to dress up in their favourite Italian-inspired costume. They will have the opportunity to take part in an Italian cooking activity, and enjoy a lively performance by Italian magician Luigi Zucchini. More information about Italian Day will be shared via Informa closer to the date.
