A Prayer for Parents at the Start of a New School Year

Loving God,

As a new school year begins, we place our children into your gentle care. We thank you for the gift of their lives, their curiosity, their laughter, and the hopes they carry into this year.

Bless them as they return to classrooms and playgrounds. Give them open minds to learn, kind hearts to include others, and courage to try again when learning feels hard.

As parents, we ask for your wisdom and patience. Help us to encourage without pressure,to listen without rushing, and to trust that you are walking beside our children each day.

Be with their teachers and school staff. May classrooms be places of safety, growth, and joy,and may our children feel known, valued, and loved.

When we feel anxious or unsure, remind us that you hold our childrenin your hands even when they are beyond our sight. Help us to let go with faith and to begin this year with hope.

We offer this school year to you, Lord. May it be a year of learning, friendship, and grace. Amen.

WHOLE SCHOOL MASS

Next Tuesday ( Feb 3rd), we will gather for the Opening of the 2026 School Year Mass.  All friends and families are welcome to attend.  Note as this is their first day of school the Prep students will not be joining us on this occasion.
