Deputy Principals Mrs Diakrousis & Mr Speranza

Welcome back everyone! We hope that you all enjoyed some quality time together over the holidays. We also hope that the Christmas season was filled with peace and blessings for your families as we celebrated the birth of Christ. It has been a great pleasure to walk through the corridors this week and see how settled the students are in their new classes. There is a palpable sense of positivity in the air, and we are looking forward to a year of growth, faith, and learning.
With the summer weather in full swing, it is vital that we work together to protect our children from the sun. We encourage students to arrive at school with sunscreen already applied to ensure they are protected during the morning session. We also encourage students to bring their own sunscreen to keep in their bags so they can re-apply it before lunch. Please remember that our "No Hat, No Play" policy is now in effect; students without a school hat will be asked to stay in the designated shade areas to ensure their safety. For further information from the Cancer Council, please see the notice below.
Finally, to ensure the safety of all community members during the busy drop-off and pick-up times, we would like to gently remind everyone of our bike and scooter policy.
Please walk all bikes and scooters immediately upon entering the school gates.
Riding is not permitted within the school grounds at any time.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school safe and harmonious. Here is to a fantastic year ahead!
Regards,
Joelle Diakrousis, Deputy Principal / Learning Diversity Leader
Anthony Speranza, Deputy Principal / Learning & Teaching Leader
Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide
A helpful reminder for all of us is the Cancer Council’s “Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, and Slide” slogan. This easy-to-remember message encourages children to Slip on a shirt, Slop on sunscreen, Slap on a hat, Seek shade, and Slide on sunglasses whenever they’re outside. Practicing these sun safety steps helps build lifelong habits that protect skin health.

Year 5 Camp- Portsea
Our Year 5 students will be embarking on a memorable camp at Portsea from the 9th to the 11th of February. This three-day adventure is packed with activities, fun, and opportunities for friendship and personal growth.
This camp is designed to provide our Year 5 students with wonderful opportunities to enhance their confidence, make new friends, and strengthen their connections with teachers. The camp experience is a highlight of the senior years, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by the students throughout their time at St Patrick's and into their teenage years.
For Year 5 families, an nForma permission form has been issued. We kindly ask that this is completed by 3rd February. For any questions relating camp, please contact Joelle.
