A Warm Welcome to the New School Year
As we begin a new school year, we do so with gratitude to God for the opportunity to gather again as a learning community. Each new year is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and of the privilege we have to partner with families in the education and formation of young people.
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all our families - especially those who are new to King’s College. A special welcome goes to our Prep students and families, who are beginning their formal schooling journey, and to our Year 7 students, who are stepping into an important new season of growth and responsibility. These are significant milestones, and we pray that each student would feel known, valued, and encouraged as they begin the year.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you.” - Numbers 6:24 - 26
Listening, Learning, and Growing Together
As a Christian school, we believe that listening well is an act of respect and humility. Over the past year, students shared their experiences through the 2025 Student Survey, and we want our community to know that we have taken this feedback seriously.
In response, we are intentionally working to:
- Improve consistency across classrooms, so students experience clarity, fairness, and care
- Support teachers to ensure learning is engaging, purposeful, and well managed
- Review practical aspects of school life that affect students’ daily experience
Our desire is to create learning environments where students can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually - where teaching reflects excellence, grace, and wisdom, and where students feel safe to learn, ask questions, and grow.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” - Colossians 3:23
Improving Our School Spaces
Over the summer break, important works were completed across the campus as part of our commitment to good stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to us.
These improvements include:
- Drainage and new bitumen work in the main carpark, enhancing safety and traffic flow during busy times
- Upgrades to Junior School student and staff toilets, providing refreshed and more functional facilities to support everyday school life
Well-maintained spaces help create an environment of care, dignity, and respect - values we seek to model and instil in our students.
As we step into the year ahead, we do so with hope, purpose, and trust in God’s guidance. Thank you for your partnership, prayers, and support as we continue to nurture young people to grow in character, wisdom, and faith. We look forward to all that God has in store for our community this year and wish every student a positive and rewarding start to the school year.
