Principal's Message

Dear Families,
GRIP Student Leadership
Last Friday, I had the privellage of attending the GRIP Student Leadership Conference with our 3 school leaders - Grace, Cooper and Troy. GRIP is a national conference designed to train and inspire student leaders, helping them develop practical skills and ideas they can use to make a positive difference in their school community.
Students joined leaders from many other schools to participate in interactive presentations, discussions, and leadership activities focused on teamwork, integrity, and taking initiative.
It was an engaging and beneficial day where our leaders explored what effective leadership looks like, shared ideas with other schools, and gained practical strategies they can bring back to Rockley Public School. I look forward to seeing them put their new ideas into action throughout the year!
NAPLAN
Today, we will complete our fourth NAPLAN assessment. Our students in Years 3 and 5 have been focussed and engaged throughout the assessments in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions, and Numeracy.
The school uses NAPLAN results to set targets and monitor progress for each year group. Parents can expect to receive their child’s NAPLAN report in Term 3.
RPS Playgroup
I have been talking with community members about commencing a playgroup at the school. The response has been really postive. If you know anyone who may be interested, please ask them to fill out the survey, so we can best cater to the needs of our community.
Wishing all a wonderful week.
Warm regards,
Principal
