Introducing Playberry Laser

In 2026, we are excited to introduce Playberry Laser for all students from Foundation to Year 6, strengthening literacy practices across the school. This whole-school approach complements our targeted learning enrichment programs and reflects our ongoing commitment to high-quality literacy instruction. Together, these supports provide a strong foundation for learning across all curriculum areas.

Key Features of Playberry Laser

• Research-based structured literacy program (Foundation–Year 6)
• Explicit teaching of how letters and sounds work together for reading and spelling
• Daily reading, writing and spelling practice
• Students grouped by learning phase and progression
• Hands-on, multisensory learning
• Skills develop progressively from simple sounds to complex spelling patterns

Teachers have undertaken professional learning delivered by Playberry Laser staff, with ongoing training and support scheduled across the school throughout 2026.

It has been wonderful to see our students and teachers elevating their phonological knowledge together. More information about Playberry Laser will be shared at our upcoming parent information night and throughout the semester.
