Just a friendly reminder to families that Direct Debits for 2026 need to be set up for your child’s school fees. Direct debits from last year do not automatically carry over, you will need to log onto the TASS parent lounge to set this up.
Thank you to those families that have already arranged your direct debit, no further action is required.
If you haven’t set up your direct debit this year, we kindly ask that you do so as soon as possible, instructions are attached or you can contact the accounts team accounts@gspv.sa.edu.au if you need any assistance.

Shrove Tuesday & Ash Wednesday
Next week we acknowledge the beginning of Lent with Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Shrove Tuesday is traditionally a day when Christians prepare for the season of Lent, which lasts for 40 days leading up to Easter. It has become a time when many people enjoy pancakes as a symbol of using up rich ingredients before this reflective season begins. Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent and is a time of reflection, prayer and renewal.
Due to rest days, Stage 1 classes will celebrate on Tuesday 17th Feb, while Stage 2–4 classes will celebrate on Wednesday 18th Feb (Week 4).
The school will provide both regular and gluten-free pancake options for students while they learn about this special event in the Church Calendar.
If your child has a dietary requirement outside of these options, we kindly ask that families provide an alternative treat for their child to enjoy during this time.
We look forward to sharing this special tradition together as a school community.
If you would like more information, please contact Lena Kokot or your child’s classroom teacher.
We Need Your Feedback - Parenting Workshops
Parenting workshops have previously been a valuable part of this community, helping to build connections with other parents and supporting parents to overcome challenges they may be experiencing. As we once again begin to explore the potential of this space, we would greatly value your input in helping to shape these events and ensure they meet the needs of our community.
Below is a link to an anonymous questionnaire, where you can share your feedback regarding potential topics, preferred frequency, and other logistical considerations.
Please find the link here: Parenting Workshop – Fill out form
Thank you for your feedback. We look forward to partnering with you to help meet the needs of our community.
Thanks

School Safety
For these first few weeks of the school year Mrs Reddy has been providing an additional lollypop duty at the end of our car park. This has been an essential reminder to ensure speed through and when exiting the car park is no more than walking pace/10km only, and to monitor drop offs and pickups outside the Kiss-and-Drop zone.
This extra lollypop duty will be concluding at the end of this week, but we ask families to continue to follow our car park rules below.
School drop off and pick up is a very busy time, with many children present as they arrive and leave the school and Curiosity ELC - It is critical that families continue to take extra care and show patience.
- From entry at the church driveway until passing the ELC driveway, car speed is walking pace/10km only, in both lanes.
- Students should not be getting into or out of cars outside of the Kiss-and-Drop zone.
- Students are to be collected from the Kiss-and-Drop zone or in-person only.
- Please watch for staff directions at the pedestrian crossing. Approach slowly and stop when the lollypop sign is turned to 'Stop'.
- Please do not use mobile phones while driving through the car park.
- Approach the exit of the car park slowly and continue to drive slowly until you have passed the driveway of Curiosity ELC.
Please also note that families should not be parking in the car park of the shops next door. When families use this car park it makes it difficult for paying customers to easily access the services they need. This is a private carpark and use by school families for drop off or pick up is not permitted.
