📆 DATES

📖 LITERACY
Students will be finishing our class novels this week. This will give students an opportunity to demonstrate a combination of comprehension skills while reviewing the text. This will form their Term Four Learning Snapshot, which you can look out for on Showbie towards the end of the week.
Additionally, the students will continue to plan, write and record their own episode of 'The Inbestigators' in small groups. They will aim to include the structural features of script writing that reflect the character traits and tone of the show.

🧮 MATHS
In Maths, students will be provided with a range of problem solving tasks which will require them to work collaboratively. These tasks will provide opportunities for students to develop and improve their fluency in Number and Algebra, including place value, four operations and fractions.

💡CBL - CURIOSITY
Students will be creating their slide deck presentation in response to the Term Four Challenge - Pitch a sustainable or ethical product to the ‘Sharks’. They will be focusing on identifying their supply chain related to their product or service, as well as the marketing strategies they will use to advertise their business idea.
We are so excited to see what they come up with!
📗GRADE 6 MEMORY BOOK
A suggested timeline and high quality examples have been posted to your child's Showbie account under 'Memory Books'. They have been briefed on the expectations and have been encouraged to follow the suggested timeline where possible. We look forward to seeing their completed books in late Term 4.
All pages should now be complete. If they're not, we do recommend that this work is completed before we go on camp so that you have time to finalise the presentation or receive an ordered book if created digitally.
👜 GRADE 5 BUDDY BAGS
Students should now have in their Buddy Bags a toy/game, an activity book, an alphabet book, a purchased toy and a letter to their buddy. The final task of creating a name plate will be completed at school this week. We will meet our buddies on Wednesday the 20th November. If students have not completed any of the previous homework tasks, it is imperative for them to do so as soon as possible.
👒 HATS ON
As of September 1st, we would like to remind you that our school adheres to the SunSmart policy set by the Victorian Government. All students are required to wear a broad-brimmed hat when outdoors from the 1st September when UV levels are typically higher.
Please ensure your child brings a hat to school every day to protect them from the sun's harmful rays.
Thank you for your support in keeping our school community safe and sun-smart.
