TheirCare - Term 4, Week 6

The 11th Day of the 11th Month, at 11.00am - Remembered.

Children helped prepare a Reef by making poppy flowers for Remembrance day. Thank you to the children who shared stories of late family members.

TheirCare -Cooking Experience – We are very fortunate to have a working kitchen which gives the children opportunity to choose baked goods for recipe choices. In addition to the lovely food created at cooking experience which is run every Tuesday morning; The children are collaborating in roles and duties, following hygiene practices, deciding on quantities, how to arrange and serve the items, factoring in ASC service and how to prepare enough for all students in attendance by cutting smaller servings, cleaning up etc..For the Children receiving the goods Thank you for remembering your manners.

What’s been happening: Team building experience with Shelter Building – Supreme Incursion , great fun, please see photos attached where children used a budget to purchase items to build a shelter to protect them from natures climate such as rain and wind. A budget made the experience that little bit more challenging to complete a shelter…also collaborating and working in small teams, proved exciting, productive for some and quite tiring for others. Of-course finished shelters needed to be tested, children huddled underneath them whilst hosts squirted water for testing the water proofing, lots of giggles.

TheirCare – A giant Four square game has been added to our afternoon sessions.

Mindfulness day- children practice stretching and poses using letter f the Alphabet. This week we had a try at making a pendant and Friendship bracelet.

Please ensure to Text or call prior to 3.30pm on the day, if your child is booked and change of plan occurs where by example child is collected early, unwell and not attending service.
