Our Upper Years Bake Sale and Prep Lemonade Stall was a tremendous success, bringing our school community together in a fun and meaningful way. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for our Prep students to deepen their learning about community, occupations, and money. They thoughtfully considered how to spend their money and which stalls to visit, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
It was truly a joy to watch our Prep students enthusiastically running "Lou Lou Lemonade's Stall," learning valuable skills such as production, preparation, serving, selling, cleaning, communication, and negotiation. They took inspiration from the exemplary role modelling of our Upper Year students, who demonstrated leadership and teamwork throughout the event.
This collaborative effort showcased the power of peer learning and highlighted the importance of practical, hands-on experiences in fostering confidence and life skills.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved in making this event such a memorable and rewarding success. Well done!
The Grade 1/2 students had an unforgettable sleepover at school! The evening was packed with exciting activities, including face painting and a delightful visit from a petting zoo, where the children fed and brushed the gorgeous baby animals. This visit was the perfect culmination of our inquiry unit 'How do living things change and grow?' as the students explored life cycles, habitats, and how to care for animals in a hands-on way. They showed off their cooking skills by making their own dinner and dessert—delicious pizzas and fruit skewers. We also celebrated some students' birthdays with a special birthday cake! The children loved splashing around during water play and later settled in to enjoy a cosy movie together. It was heartwarming to see them laughing, learning, and creating lasting memories with their friends!
In term four we have been able to access Sporting Schools funding to support our Physical education program.
The Foundation, year 1 & 2 students have enjoyed five weeks of tennis skills and are now doing five weeks of ten pin bowling.
The year 5 & 6 students have had Charlie from Kelly Sport join us for four sessions of volleyball this term. The other weeks are being spent exploring the sport of orienteering.
