Principal's Report

2025 Planning

We want to thank everyone who provided valuable information about their child to support the formation of our 2025 classes.

Following on from the work of our teachers; inputting student friendship requests, along with the insight they have into the children they teach and how they learn best, grades have been formed and the leadership team is now reviewing parent & carer feedback. We are carefully considering the requests as we work on developing class structures for 2025. In doing so, we are striving to achieve a balance across year levels, genders, academic and behavioural needs, and, of course, those all-important friendships that help foster a positive learning environment.

Each year, our teaching teams evolve as we welcome back some staff, say goodbye to others, and balance the passions, interests, and experience levels of our current team across the school. For the year ahead, each cohort will have a combination of teachers who are staying and those who will be moving into new areas.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

We are truly excited to work with our new teams of educators for the coming year, and we feel incredibly privileged to have such a dedicated and talented group of professionals to place with our students. Please be aware that we are incredibly proud of each and every teacher here at FNPS and, as such, requests for specific teachers based on the information above cannot be accommodated.

However, as always, this also means we must say goodbye (or rather, "so long") to some valued members of our teaching team:

  • Sarah Easton: Sarah has been a longstanding teacher here at FNPS. After recently completing her Master of Learning Intervention, Sarah has accepted a position at Merri Creek Primary School, where she will have the opportunity to put her new learnings into practice as a Disability and Inclusion leader.
  • Sam Tolley: Sam has taught across a range of year levels here at FNPS. Excitingly for Sam, he and his family are making a sea change and moving to the Mornington Peninsular and has accepted a teaching position a local school in the area.
  • Paul Timms, a valued teacher of our Year 1/2 students, will not be returning next year. We wish Paul all the best in his future endeavours.
  • Angie Ong, also a valued Year 1/2 teacher, will not be returning in 2025. Again, we wish Angie all the very best in what comes next for her.
  • Tristen Jones, a much loved Prep teacher here at FNPS will also be saying farewell. Tristen is currently building a house in Wollert and has secured a position at Wirrigirri Primary School which will be really close to his new place.

We wish all of these wonderful teachers the very best in their next chapters of their professional careers and sincerely thank them for all they have contributed to our school, our students, and our community.
