CONGRATULATIONS OLLIE W - STATE ATHLETICS COMPETITOR

As a result of winning the 11 Years Shot Put (with a personal best throw of 10.39m) at Regionals, Ollie qualified for the State Athletics. Held at Albert Park on Wednesday 7th November, Ollie was competing against the best in the State. Nervous, but also excited, Ollie couldn't stop talking to his dad during the car ride to the venue. Although Ollie didn't throw as well as he did at the Regionals, he did extremely well to finish 12th overall. An amazing result for someone who does not do Athletics outside of school. Ollie thoroughly enjoyed his 'journey' and is eager to be a part of the school Athletics team next year.
