*2025 classes
Thank you for your input. Class building is well underway now. The process is comprehensive and we rely heavily on the professional knowledge and expertise of our teachers to build the classes. We are also working on our Workforce Plan, so we will be able to assign teachers in early December. Everyone will know their new class and teacher by UP Day (Dec 10)
*BOOKLISTS and PARENT PAYMENTS-Class requisites are made up of two components as we try to source the best deals for our families- Booklists and Parent Payments.
Booklists:
Teachers have worked to build a list of essential stationary items. CAMPION is our school supplier. They have built the booklists. You will be sent relevant information on the how to order and what to order ASAP. You can choose to collect or have them delivered. Delivery Orders placed by Dec 16 will receive FREE delivery. Books will be delivered before school starts. You also have the option to source your stationary from other suppliers.
Class teachers will be sending home any excess booklist stock for your child during Week 7. You will then be able to decide the items you do need to order.
If you would like to donate any excess tock to our school for students needing items, please drop them off at the office. They will be distributed discreetly by the Wellbeing Team.
Parent Payments:
The ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students. We have carefully sourced essential programs and resources to support our programs and itemised them on our PARENT PAYMENT sheet. There is a specific one for each year level outlining the programs or equipment needed for each student. This information will be sent out to parents with the booklists—including instructions as to how you can pay for these items.
*BREAKFAST CLUB – EATING ZONE—We are working to build RESPECT for our yard by minimising litter in the yard. Students have a lunch eating time in the classroom—so NO litter should be going outside. We did notice some Breakfast Club litter, so we have addressed that. Picnic rugs are on the way to make the junior courtyard an inviting space to enjoy our Breakfast Club goodies and dispose of the rubbish.
SUNSMART-UNIFORM-CONSISTENT RULES
You will notice we are also building our consistency of expectation around school rules. Our Blue Carpet Area is a Drop and Go Zone. Before school, students drop their bags and go outside to play. There should be NO students or parents loitering in the space before school unless they have an appointment with a teacher.
Classes are all lining up respectfully outside of their classrooms, entering in a calm, respectful manner. Students are ushered from the playground once the first bell has rung. Students have set up routines for class and a Morning Circle where the expectations for the day are explicitly outlined. Thus, it is very important that students are in class on time to set them up for a successful day.
Hats are expected to be worn. From September until May, no hat means no play. This means that students without a hat will have to stay in the shade. Students do need a hat for sport and PE. We are committed to protecting our students from harmful sunrays so each Thursday we are doing a hat check. Students without a hat will have a COMPASS Out of Uniform notification.
*Bella keeps reminding us of behaviours we want to see—give smiles, be kind, be respectful.
*BREAKFAST CLUB – EATING ZONE—Students will be reminded to eat their Breakfast Club goodies in the prep oval/courtyard area. Our goal is to minimise rubbish in the yard. They can put fruit/Messy Monkeys in their bag if they want to eat it at recess.
Remember to thank our lovely volunteers!

ON-SITE PSYCHOLOGIST
We have private practitioner, psychologist Meaghan Morley, working out of our school one day a week on a Thursday. We understand how difficult it is to get students to appointments out of school hours, and the long waiting lists people face. Thus, we feel very fortunate that we are able to offer you this service. Meaghan completes a range of assessments including cognitive, behavioural and educational at a competitive cost. Prices start at $500. A copy of the fees available upon request. If you would like more information, please speak with Luana Lane in the Student Support Office.
FUN IN THE YARD Year 5 Play Leaders and Helping Hub students are in the junior school courtyards each lunchtime offering an array of activities and games for them to participate in.
