Winter Concerts 2023

The music department is midway through another bustling term, with a packed performance schedule featuring assemblies, evening soirees, and lunchtime performances. We're delighted to share the news that several of our talented Year 12 musicians have secured spots to study music in their tertiary education next year.

 A special congratulations goes to Isabel Lai in Year 10, who earned a Distinction for her Certificate in Music Performance from the Australian Music Education Board. This certification, surpassing Grade 8, places her just one step away from the esteemed AmusA. Fantastic achievement, Isabel!

Mark your calendars for our upcoming Jazz Night on Thursday, November 16th—an excellent opportunity to enjoy the musical talents of JMSS's finest musicians as they jam with a live house band. Wrapping up the year, don't miss the Presentation Night ceremony on Monday, December 4th, featuring a plethora of live music performances to captivate the audience. 

In conclusion, we extend our congratulations to Kai Cheung and Sabrina Pavia for successfully securing their roles as the Music Captains for 2024 at JMSS. We eagerly anticipate their distinguished leadership ahead!
