Principal Reflections

From the Principals - Alison & Pete

Dear Parents & Friends,

Year 5 Leadership

It's that time of year where our Year 5 students commence their preparation to take on leadership roles in our school. Student leadership in a school setting is an important management function that helps to ensure improved efficiency and voice and therefore supports the achievement of goals. We look forward to being an active part of the preparation process to ensure we are set up for success in 2024.

Kindergarten Transition Program

On Friday we welcomed our Kindergarten students for 2024 as part of our transition program.  The children and parents were greeted at the gates with bubbles and balloons and many smiles.  A great start to Kindergarten is very important to us and key to ensuring this is equipping our parents and carers with the skills and advice to enable them to support their child. We look forward to continuing this work through our upcoming parent workshops. St Edward's School is very excited to be welcoming the 2024 parents and students to our wonderful school.

Uniform Reminders

This is a reminder that all students are required to wear their full summer uniform, have their hair pulled back if it is past their shoulders, and have a school hat. As the weather heats up it is very important that your child is wearing their school hat. It is a compulsory requirement. Please check that your child has a school hat and that they are bringing it to school.

End of Year Awards Presentation

Please note that our End of Year Awards Presentation Night will be held on Tuesday 5th December at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre, starting at 6pm. Students will be required to wear their full summer uniform.

Further information regarding this event will be communicated closer to the date.

World Teachers' Day

This Friday 27th October is World Teachers' Day – we would love your children to help us celebrate. If they would like to write a small note, make a card or share a little bit of joy with their teacher – you will make their day tomorrow. We would like to thank in advance the P&F Committee for providing a delicious morning tea for all of our wonderful teachers.

Have a great week.

Keep smiling,

Alison Hatton and Peter Flynn
