Out the back of the larger portable, closest to the shed is a lot of old furniture. Mostly cabinets, trolleys and filing cabinets that someone may find useful for their shed. Below are some pictures. If you think you might find something useful please come and get it.
Just let the office know what and when. First in best dressed.
NAPLAN moved from May to March this year, and changes were made to reporting in order to provide simpler, clearer, and more meaningful results.
The Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is keen to hear from principals and teachers, as well as parents and carers, on these changes. Feedback is currently being captured via a survey, which will be open until early December 2023.
You can access a link to the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NRTZCHN.
Please note that the survey is managed by ACARA. Participation is voluntary; distribution of the survey within our school community will support the ongoing evaluation of NAPLAN testing.
On the 14th October the School was a polling booth for the referendum. On this day Newham Primary School held a fundraiser cake stall and sausage sizzle. We had a fantastic turnout for our NPS Polling Day Fundraiser, raising a massive $1,764.95 for our soccer goal nets. On behalf of School Council, thank you to everyone who baked, packaged, manned the cake stall/sausage sizzle and assembled the new BBQ, the day was a success because of your hard work and dedication to our students and school.
A special thanks to Rai, the 5/6 students and their buddies for making chocolate chip cookies, Anzac cookies and call to action posters for the cake stall. They all looked amazing and received many compliments.
This may be bigger than our students can manage but during the craft-ernoons, we have a large mosaic in 4 panels for the Frog Bog that has to be grouted and sealed. If there are any parents who would like to give this a go, (no experience necessary) we would certainly appreciate the help. The first craft-ernoon is Friday 27th October at 2.45pm.
Contact the school.
