MOCA Careers Mentoring Night
At the end of last term, our Mazenod Old Collegiansâ Association held its Careers Mentoring Night.
The evening was a great success and was very well attended by our students and their families. After being welcomed to the evening by our Mazenod Old Collegiansâ Association, we hosted individual tables where our Mazenod College Old Boys and friends from specific professions and trades were in attendance. During this evening, our students had the opportunity to speak with our Old Boys about what is involved in their chosen careers, professions, and trades.
Â
The informal nature of the evening meant that our students and their families were able to speak to our Old Boys about the reality of working in their chosen areas.Â
Â
Our Mazenod Old Collegiansâ Association sincerely thanks our Old Boys and our friends who have supported us as our Careers Mentors. (We were inundated with apologies from many others who were unable to join us this year).
Â
MOCA looks forward to hosting a far bigger Careers Mentoring Night earlier in the year next year.
Â
We have been overwhelmed by the extremely positive, generous and kind comments we received both verbally, and in writing, about the evening.
Â
"Everyone was friendly and it was a great experience that really got my son thinking about his future. Weâre looking forward to the next careers evening. Thanks to all the volunteers who shared their experiences so freely." (James Worladge)
