Year 11 Geography Field Work @ Phillip Island

"To what extent has Phillip Island achieved sustainable tourism?"

Sustainable tourism is defined by the UN Environment Program and UN World Tourism Organisation as "tourism that takes full acount of its current and future economic, social, and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the enivornment and host communities."

Our Year 11 Geography students were tasked with assessing the impact that tourism has on the Island, conducting research at the MotoGP and the Penguin Parade to form a hypothesis based on their findings, all while enjoying some fun in the sun ☀️

Year 10 Food Tech Practical Exams

This week, some of our Year 10 students showcased their culinary skills in the Food Technology practical exams! Staff and students enjoyed the fruits of their labour, indulging in the 40+ individual dishes prepared from a variety of cuisines, with options like Mini Lamb Skewers with Tzatziki, Ssam (Korean Pork Belly Lettuce Wrap) and even "Gordon Ramsay's Hot Ones Inspired" Wings🔥

Well done, and thank you all!

Year 10 Drama Final Performances

This week the Year 10 Drama class presented their final performance for the year. They have been studying the renaissance Italian theatre style of Commedia Dell ‘Arte. For this performance they developed a comedic script and donned the traditional masks and costumes for this style of theatre. A great time was had by all!
