New teaching staff in 2024

We have a number of new teachers joining our team in 2024. Please find out a little bit more about them below.

Rowan Lieschke

Along with my wife Helen and 6 year old daughter Isla, I am very excited to be joining your wonderful school community. I will be joining you from 13 years teaching at Redeemer Lutheran in Nuriootpa and look forward to experiencing city life for the first time!

My passions include sport, particularly footy, cricket, squash and tennis, spending time with my family, listening to interesting podcasts and relaxing with a book or jigsaw puzzle. My other passion is supporting the mighty Collingwood Magpies - feel free to give me constructive criticism about this, I am used to it! I look forward to connecting with you soon. God bless.

Hannah Vlahos

I'm bringing five years of teaching experience from two schools in Adelaide to our exciting educational journey. I've worked with many year levels, including Reception, Year 3, Year 4 Classroom Teaching and as a Junior Primary Science teacher. My favourite subject to teach is design and technology, where I enjoy guiding students to design and build creative solutions to problems.

Outside the classroom, I live with my husband and the delightful Felix, my cavoodle, who frequently enjoys doggy daycare adventures. On weekends and in my spare time, you'll find me sitting beside my indoor plants, sipping tea and getting lost in a gripping mystery novel.

I can't wait to blend my love for teaching with these interests, creating a positive and vibrant learning environment at Good Shepherd Lutheran School.

Michelle Roberts-Cobbing

I am both privileged and excited to be joining the Good Shepherd team in 2024 as a Stage 1 teacher. Since graduating from the University of South Australia in 2021, I have enjoyed working in a Special Education setting as well as relief teaching in a variety of mainstream and Special Education contexts. Prior to teaching, I worked in IT, then as a Co-Educator for eight years.

Helping each child progress in all areas of their development is a passion of mine.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a safe, positive and fun environment.

Personally, I am married with our wonderful twin daughters and two fantastic stepsons.  We love watching our kids’ sport and I also enjoy reading, gardening, restoring old furniture, getting away in our caravan and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting lots of new faces and working together with families in the new year!

Mirsini Arabatzis

I'm thrilled to be joining Good Shepherd Lutheran School in 2024. As a graduate with Honours in Primary Education, I am a teacher dedicated to contributing to the supportive, compassionate, and Christ-centred community that characterises the culture at Good Shepherd. My educational journey has led me to teach across various classes, from Foundation to Year 7, but I am particularly passionate about fostering a love for learning in the early years. With a specialisation in English, I am excited to bring my love and joy for language and literacy learning into the junior primary classroom.

I believe a child's education lays the foundation for personal growth, future choices and their ability to make a positive impact on the world. I am deeply committed to creating a warm, loving and creative environment where each child can thrive and reach their full potential, academically and socially. Beyond the classroom, you'll often find me exercising, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends. I am super excited to begin this new chapter with the Good Shepherd team.

Sheridyn Lovell

I have been a teacher for 10 years, 7 of those teaching at Crossways Lutheran school in Ceduna, on the far west coast of South Australia. I enjoy teaching all year levels but my true passion is early childhood education.

During my first 3 years of teaching, I lived and taught in a remote Aboriginal community in the north west of our state. This is where I met my husband, who was a police officer in the same area. We now have 2 young children - William who is 4 and Elsie who is almost 2. We enjoy spending time as a family, reading books, playing outside with our dogs, cooking and going for walks.

We are very much looking forward to moving back to Adelaide to reconnect with family and friends. I am very excited to join the Good Shepherd Lutheran school teaching team and look forward to getting to know the staff, students and families.

TASS Parent Portal

Over the last 12 months, the Administration staff have been working busily on changing over our school management system to TASS. The system manages our school database, payment processes, report generation etc – it’s been a massive job! This week we are ready to roll out the Parent Portal. For those with children attending Endeavour College it is the same management system.

This roll out is an important part of Strategic Intention 4 of our Strategic Plan, Community Building, where we are continuing to improve our partnership between school and home. This partnership is diverse and with the roll out and implementation of the TASS Parent Portal, the updating of information and communication between home and school will be streamlined.

Thank you to the team behind the scenes who have worked tirelessly to get this ready for us to use, this team has been headed up by our Business Director, Mark Elliott.

An email will be sent from TASS this Monday the 20th November, which will provide you with your individual log in details, along with a guide to support you to use the Portal. If you have not received this by Tuesday, please check your spam or junk folder before contacting the school for support.
