St Joseph's Primary School will again be participating in the 2025 National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday, May 21 at 12pm.  This annual event brings together over two million children across Australia to read the same book at the same time, celebrating the joy of reading and storytelling.

This year’s chosen book is The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel, illustrated by Danny Snell. This heartwarming story follows Tinka, a cat who lives on the road with his human, Yacoub. As they journey through a new country, both seek a sense of home and belonging.  When they are unexpectedly separated, their determination to reunite leads them on an adventure filled with hope and discovery.
