JUNIOR HOOPTIME UPDATE
This week, the HoopTime coordinator has informed us that on our May 20th tournament date there were only two schools entered. Due to this, we are to find a new date for our junior HoopTimers. Teams will be announced next week, and Tania will announce the new date as soon as possible.
HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS
There were some gallant efforts displayed last Thursday at our annual Year 3-6 House Cross Country! After a lovely two weeks of school holidays it was impressive to see so many put in a 100% solid effort over their respective age group 2 or 3km race.
A MASSIVE thank you goes to our amazing parents & past students that assisted with early-morning set-up, checkpoint supervision and acting as course guides over the morning! Your help was greatly appreciated by all our students and staff!

DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY
We’d like to congratulate our team of 76 strong runners that represented our school today at the Dendy District Cross Country event at Bald Hill Park in Clarinda.
It’s one thing to run 2 or 3 kilometers at a local park surrounded by your peers, but it’s next-level to face it a week later against around 100 other unknown runners at an unknown venue for many! Despite this, every team member did a wonderful job; putting in 100% effort in their respective race. Well done team!
A massive congratulations also goes to these 9 students, who ran an exceptional race, coming top 8 in their event and have now qualified for Division XC!

Our top 8 place-getters will now represent our school and Dendy District at the next level, Beachside Division on Tuesday 27th May. A massive thank you to the supporting parents Carla O, Sarah G, Yvonne K and Maxine L, who gave up their morning to help with bus and event supervision. It was so lovely to have them along with the team. Special thanks to our attending staff as well: Peter Tyndall, Sigrid Happell and Bella (student teacher), who did a wonderful job supporting the team also.
St. Finbar’s placed 4th in the Winning School by %, and also came 4th in the Overall Winning School on the day. We congratulate Sacred Heart Sandringham for being awarded the Outright Winning School for this event.
