General Achievement Test (GAT) - Tue 17 June

On Tuesday the 17th of June, all VCE and VCE VM students undertaking Unit 3 and Unit 4 subjects will sit the GAT. • Student feedback: Results provide early insight into strengths and areas for improvement in writing, reading and mathematics.
  • Special provisions: Students who miss or are disadvantaged in an end-of-year exam (due to illness or misadventure) may use their GAT performance to apply for a Derived Examination Score.

The Great SRC Clean-Up – A Shining Success!

On Monday 12th May, students rolled up their sleeves for the Great SRC Clean-Up and the results speak for themselves!

Thanks to the leadership of one of our school captains, Hannah, and the hard work of the students, the school grounds are now looking better than ever.

This student-led initiative not only helped tidy up our campus but also showed what teamwork and pride in our school can achieve. Well done to everyone involved – and a special shoutout to Hannah for her fantastic organisation and dedication!

Let’s keep up the great work and continue looking after our school environment.

SRC Cultures Day Celebration at Kurnai

On Thursday 22nd May, the Senior Campus SRC brought our school community together to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make Kurnai such a unique and inclusive place to learn and grow. Held at lunchtime, our Cultures Tasting Event was a vibrant showcase of food and drinks.

Students and staff had the opportunity to sample dishes from 16 different cultures. The flavours were diverse and delicious, and it was fantastic to see so many students trying new things, asking questions, and showing genuine interest in cultures other than their own.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff and students who contributed by cooking, baking, preparing, and sharing food. Your generosity and effort helped create a meaningful experience that celebrated not only the food but also the stories and heritage behind it.

Events like this remind us of the power of food to bring people together and just how lucky we are to be part of such a culturally rich and welcoming school community.

Rainbow Dress Up Day

Staff and students came together in a vibrant show of support for IDAHOBIT Day on Monday 19th May 2025 by dressing in rainbow colours and creating a powerful human rainbow on campus. It was a fun and meaningful celebration of inclusion and diversity. Next year, we're aiming for even more orange and yellow to complete our bow! Thank you to Claire for her awesome promotion of the day.
