Caritas - Project Compassion

During Lent at COHR we focus on the work of Caritas,  through our Project Compassion boxes, Zooper Dooper Tuesday,  Harmony Day, Caritas Donate a Dollar Day and Caritas Day. Also through our prayers and class RE Programs learning about the work of Caritas.

This year we raised $2438.90!!

As the Catholic Church's international aid and development agency, Caritas Australia works hand in hand with the most marginalised communities in Australia and overseas, to confront the challenges of poverty.

Through locally-led programs, we work with all people, with shared hope and compassion, towards a world where all can thrive and reach their full potential. Through partnerships with local organisations and Church networks, and as a member of Caritas Internationalis, one of the largest humanitarian networks in the world, we are able to reach where the need is greatest and work together for a just future.

Working together for justice and dignity. Building together a thriving future for all.

COHR is always such a generous community, that shares their many blessings with others. Our Caritas and Project Compassion actions are living proof of both this generosity and of our faith in action. Thank you for all you have contributed and a special thanks to the Mini Vinnies Team of students and Signora Pansino for their work in leading the raising of money for Caritas.

Take care and find time to pause and pray,

Jo Cowan
