Body Bright Program

Parent Webinar (Body Image)

https://butterfly-org-au.zoom.us/j/81782606501Please join us for this important parent information session regarding our Wellbeing Program from BeYou Body Bright. Whilst our students in 3-6 will be learning through the Body Bright program, we welcome Prep to 2 parents to join the sessions to maximise the information shared in our community. With a focus on preventing body dissatisfaction and serious eating issues, this session provides information and practical tips to help parents/carers of children (aged 5-12) better understand and promote positive body image and a healthy relationship with eating and physical activity in the home. It provides practical strategies to be a positive role model, reduce the impact of risk factors in a child’s environment and empower children to feel BRIGHT in their body, through the lens of 6 Body Bright themes. The session also explores when to be concerned about a child’s body image and what you can do, including referral and support information. Whilst the session does aim to increase understanding of early warning signs of body dissatisfaction and disordered eating, the focus is on prevention and fostering positive body image and healthy behaviours.
