Year 3 Literacy

This term, our Inquiry topic throughout the school is 'I am Creative'. 

To support our ability to create for a purpose, our students have been learning about the author’s purpose and morals of stories. In Writing, the students have been exploring non-narrative fiction texts such as lyrics, chants and nursery rhymes. 

They have learnt when and where these are used as well as their structures. Students have learnt various rhyming patterns and have created some of their own chants, lyrics and nursery rhymes. 

Later in the term, they will apply the skills they have practised to create their own production.
