Next Sunday, 3rd December, begins the Season of Advent - a time when we prepare ourselves for the Birth of Jesus.

During Advent, we not only prepare ourselves to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but we also check in to see if we are doing all the things that will keep us ready to receive Jesus when he comes again.

And here is a beautiful Family Advent Prayer to pray with your family. Don’t forget to come to the Parish Morning Tea on Sunday after the 9.30am Mass.

God of Love,

Your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us.

He is a sign of your love.

Help us walk in that love during the weeks of Advent,

As we wait and prepare for his coming.

We pray in the name of Jesus, our Saviour.

Amen.

Bunnings Family Christmas Event - Save the Date!

Thursday 7th December from 6pm - 8pm

At the last Bunnings event one of our families won the major raffle! And several families won smaller gifts! Come along for a night of well-being connecting with your kids and other families. All welcome!

There will be a magician, petting animals, games, tattoos, kids craft, popcorn, slurpees, fairy floss, Sutherland Shire Brass Band, Bunnings BBQ, Christmas scavenger hunt, prizes and a visit from Santa!

I’m hopeful we will win all the prizes again!

First Reconciliation - Year 2

Congratulations to the Year 2 students who made their First Reconciliation on Thursday. The two sessions were beautiful and all our priests were impressed by the reverence and commitment of the children in asking forgiveness in this very important Sacrament.

O my God

I am very sorry

That I have sinned against you,

Because you are so good,

And with your help

I will not sin again.

OLF Parish Christmas Markets - You’re Invited!

The annual Parish Christmas markets have been organised for 9th/10th December in the Church Courtyard and you are invited! All money raised will go towards improvements for our Church.

Gingerbread House Night

It was a small but lively and fun group participating in the Gingerbread House Night last Tuesday night. As you can see, the gingerbread houses look amazing!

Fatima Friends

Last week after praying with Year 5 and Year 6 students, Fatima Friends had free time making friends and playing together. The rain outside did not dampen our spirits in the Mercy Library.

All Pre-schoolers, toddlers and babies with their parents or carers are all welcome to Friday Fatima Friends at 9.10am after our school Prayer Assembly in the playground.
