Promotions Morning

Students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers for the 2024 school year on Friday 15th December. Student resource lists for the new school year will be communicated via Compass.

Parents are reminded that once class groups have been announced there will be no changes in relation to student placement. A lot of time and discernment goes into the placement of each of the students and we thank you for your support and trust in our decisions.

Student Awards and School Assemblies & Mass

The last school assembly for student awards will be Friday 8th December.

The whole school End of Year Mass and Awards Ceremony will be celebrated on Thursday 14th December commencing at 9.30am. At the conclusion of this Mass awards will be presented to acknowledge outstanding student engagement in learning and to students who have contributed to the life of the school. Parents will be notified beforehand if their child is receiving one of these awards.

Semester Two Reports

Semester Two student reports will be sent out to parents on Friday Week  8th December via COMPASS. Parents of Year Six students are reminded to print/save a copy of their child’s report before the end of the year as their profile data is not transferred to their high school.

Parents, this is a special time for you to praise the efforts of your child for the school year. The level of effort a child puts into their work is important to acknowledge in addition to the level of performance grade awarded. Praise this where appropriate. Comparative tables for grades Year 1 - Year 6 will be available from the office.

Parents are asked to contact their child’s class teacher via email to organise an interview time, if they would like to discuss the Semester Two report.

SPBL Reward Event

The SPBL end of term reward will be a school disco on Monday 11th December. Students from Years Kindergarten to Year Five will be participating in this event. Year 6 students will be attending their End of Year Fun Day event on this day.

Please read the event information posted on Compass in relation to dress up clothes to wear and the purchasing of a goodie bag.

Nut Free/Lolly Free School

Parents, please be reminded that Our Lady of Fatima is a nut free school with many students having a variety of allergies. We recommended that lolly bags, chocolates etc are not sent to school for birthdays or events or end of year Christmas treats.

In addition we ask that students don’t give out Christmas candy canes. Students can give Christmas cards but please refrain from giving candy canes/lollies.
