Year 10 work experience

Congratulations to our Year 10s on the successful completion of their work experience interviews. VPG provided extremely positive feedback on the boys’ preparedness and professionalism during this process. 

Work experience – remaining key dates

March 7, 8, 15 and April 26: White Card training. 9am to 2:30pm at St Augustine’s.

April 29: VPG work experience placements handed out.

May 7: work experience forms returned to the College.

May 13-17: work experience placement. 

White Card Training

Parents and carers will soon receive an email for those Year 10 students needing or wishing to undertake White Card training for their work experience placement. Cost will be $80 and a payment link will be provided in the forthcoming email. Dates for this training have been booked, and the boys will receive important information on how to enrol in the course this week. I will be running a session in Week 6 to take the boys through the enrolment process. 

BLA/JCU Careers in Health Breakfast

Some Year 11 students and I will attend the JCU Careers in Health Breakfast at the Pullman International on Friday March 1. It will be hosted by BLA. This will be a great experience for the boys to gain insight into the vast opportunities to study close to home in this ever-growing industry. An email will be sent to parents of the boys attending over coming days.
