Weekend Activities

Last week staff and students ventured down to Eaton Fair on Friday for some retail therapy.

On Saturday most students went to Bunbury for several games of Laser tag.  Everyone had a lot of fun and were quite exhausted upon return.

Saturday evening students volunteered to cook lamb chops and sausages on the BBQ, some were a little overcooked. Later that evening a group of students led by Neale Horsley, had a great time with some karaoke.

Sunday was the day our Transition students were arriving. Our cleaners did a wonderful job of making the very recently vacated dorm rooms lovely and clean for our guests.  A huge thank you.

Several current students assisted staff in taking the new students and their folks down to the dorms and getting them acquainted with their new surroundings. A great big thankyou to all the students who volunteered to assist, they did such a fantastic job.

After the meet and greet, and some important information from key staff, the Transition students and their folks enjoyed a great afternoon tea, before saying farewell to their parents.

It is always very exciting seeing the new students and our current students enjoying getting to know each other and making friends.

Year 11s Onsite

This week we had 16 Year 11 students remain onsite and soldier on through stifling heat whilst undertaking the Wool Handling course. These students were all very tired but continued to front up each day and complete the course. Well done.

Year 10 Boarders Dinner

Next Thursday evening we are taking our Year 10 Boarders out for dinner at the Crooked Carrot at Myalup.  This should be another great evening and we are all very much looking forward to it.
