Dairy Competition

The College Dairy entered two of its Holstein stud cows in this year’s 'Semex on Farm Competition' where the cattle are judged on the Farm straight out of the milking herd, rather than in the show ring.  With our mature cow, we were placed fourth and came first with our 3-year-old.

RASWA Dairy Paraders and Dairy Judging Competition

Last weekend the College hosted the State Finals of the Dairy Paraders and Dairy Judging on behalf of the RAS.  The event was held over at the College dairy and coordinated by Mr Peter Gelmi.

Congratulations to Zoey Morris for winning the State Final in Dairy Judging. Zoey is eligible to represent WA in the National Finals at the Melbourne Royal Show in September next year.

Cert III Advanced Wool Handling

This week, 16 of our Year 11 students have returned to the College to participate in a Certificate III in Advanced Wool Handling course which is delivered by South Regional TAFE from Narrogin.

The students spend the week up at the shearing shed with Mr Adams completing both theory and practical sessions.
