Chance investigation:

A chance experiment is something you can do over and over again, and you don't know exactly what will happen each time.


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students practise doing chance experiments by:

 

Predicting if they flipped a coin what is likely to happen: heads or tails. Flip the coin 10 times and record results as a tally.

 

Or

 

Predicting if they rolled a dice what  is likely to happen.  Roll the die 20 times and record results as a tally.

 

Or

 

Predict if they flipped their water bottle how many times out of 15 will it land up the right way. Flip the bottle and record results as a tally.
