Dear Principal, teachers and students at the Holy Family school,

On behalf of the St Vincent de Pual conferences in our region, I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to your school for donating 30 Christmas food hampers to St Vinnies.

These hampers are currently being distributed by volunteers to people who are in need in our local areas, i.e. Lindfield, Chatswood, Artarmon and Forestville.

The kindness and generosity of the school are greatly appreciated.

Follow THE Star

I wonder how many people would choose to follow a star like the three kings did.

Would you leave everything behind, not knowing where you were going, not knowing when you would get there, not knowing what you would find?

When the kings followed THAT star they risked a lot. They might have lost their kingdoms, or even their lives. They knew that this was a special star, one that announced the birth of the king of kings. This made it worthwhile to follow the star no matter what.

Besides the stars in the night sky, what else do we consider a "star"? Perhaps a movie star, a basketball star or a rock star? We may be interested in them and follow them on social media platforms. The kings remind us that some stars are worth following more than others.  Some "stars" may be our dreams, our goals and the Bible. If we choose our little stars wisely, they may actually lead us closer to Jesus.  

I encourage you to be like the three kings and follow the star to Jesus, who could be the light of our lives if we choose him to be.
